The Institute of Private Enterprise Development (IPED) provides supervised loans and business development services to Micro, Small and Medium-sized business enterprises countrywide.

IPED is the leading provider of financing, business advice and training to small entrepreneurs, micro-businesses and the underprivileged in Guyana.

IPED provides timely access to capital for appropriate periods, at reasonable interest rates. We are ideal for persons anywhere in Guyana who may not have access to commercial banking and have been in business for at least 6 months.

Demonstration of an Integrated Farming Model for Poor Farmers

The Integrated Farming project was executed by IPED from April 2008 to June 2011, with US$125M in funding from the Multilateral Investment Fund of the Inter-American Development Bank Project ATN/M E-10884-GY and US$52,000 from IPED; along with the support of IICA and Partners of the Americas. The project targeted farmers of hinterland Regions 1, 7, 8 and 9. 166 farmers have benefitted from the project and an Integrated Farming Manual has been produced and made freely available.
