The Institute of Private Enterprise Development (IPED) provides supervised loans and Business Development Services to groups and individuals of the Micro and Small Business Sectors countrywide.

In Guyana, IPED is the leading institution in providing financial and non-financial services to the most needy sector of the economy (i.e. the underprivileged, micro and small entrepreneurs).

IPED provides timely access to capital for appropriate periods, at reasonable interest rates, which provides clients with good rates of Return on Investment. We are ideal for business persons anywhere in Guyana who do not have access to the commercial banks and have been in business for at least 6 months

IPED is a company registered under the Company Act, Chapter 89:01 of the Laws of Guyana, as a not-for-profit and limited by guarantee institution.
