The Management of Institute of Private Enterprise Development Ltd (IPED) recognizes the importance of the Safety and Health of its employees and stakeholders and is committed to creating and implementing effective OHSSE Policies which will minimize Harm to People and the Environment. These Policies will embody the following principles: 

Achieving high standards of OHSSE performance that will contribute positively to IPED’s long-term business success and rank equally with other business objectives.

Setting and monitoring relevant objectives and targets, based on performance standards is essential to promote and maintain the continuous improvement of our Safety and Health program.

Successful implementation of the policies requires ownership and commitment by management as well as the active participation of all employees.

CORPORATE OHSSE STATEMENT

The long-term success of IPED depends on our capability to continuously improve our services while protecting our people, assets and the environment.

In keeping with the requirements outlined in the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1997 – PART V (Duties) – It is the policy of the Institute of Private Enterprise Development Ltd (IPED) to ensure that our work is performed in the safest manner possible. We believe that safety is not only what is written in a safety manual but rather the overall culture of a company with respect to safety. Directors, managers, supervisors and the employees display this culture through their personal behaviours, decisions, and actions that demonstrate to everyone that SAFETY IS A CORE VALUE OF OUR COMPANY.

  • Elimination of accidents and incidents through the setting and achieving of our targets and accident prevention strategies
  • Development of our safety management system in line with international standards and best practices

IPED is committed to the integration of its OHSSE objectives into our management system at every level; we will actively reinforce this with our reward program which would recognize outstanding OHSSE performance demonstrated by our employees and contractors
